If you have XP Pro, you have Offline Files - but my money is on
www.centered.com (SecondCopy 2000) for file synchronization. I think it's a
lot better - and is inexpensive. They have a free fully-functional 30-day
eval. You'd only need one license if you plan to run this on your laptop &
sync to your desktop....
I'd sync the whole shared data folder if it were me.
