You don't have the XP install CD? And you don't have a product key number?
Look on the case of the CPU for a small sticker. This sticker is supposed
to be placed on all retail boxes that have Microsoft Operating systems
installed on them. It will have the product key number you need to activate
Windows. A new computer, with a warranty and usually with a monitor, can be
purchased for as little as $400.00. If you buy from a retailer like
Staples, Office Depot or Office Max, you can open an account and get the
computer financed at a promotional rate of 0% if paid off in a certain
length of time. This is a great deal for cash strapped families like yours.
You get a new computer and pay the same as cash. This could be your best
option.
