    Giving us the exact error message might help instead of describing it.
    For example, maybe what it is really reporting is that the version of
    Windows is not one that the game supports. Some products check for a
    bounded range of versions, so they also won't work with versions that
    are *later* than what they check for within the range. Sometimes you
    can visit a forum for the game to find out from other players if there
    is a command-line parameter or setup that will make the game ignore the
    OS version checking; otherwise, you can't run the game on that version
    of Windows. If you actually mentioned the game then someone that has
    installed and played it successfully might help, too.
