Hi:
There are a number of ways to get rid of the icons, some are easier and some
are a bit of complicated. In general, these are programs loaded during
startup.
(1) Click icon property and see if there are options for you to disable it,
(2) Go to Startup and check if there any program shortcuts there, delete any
of them you don't want to,
(3) Go to Control Panel and select those options (e.g. Power, Audio, and so
on) and disable its display on task bar, and
(4) Use utility program (e.g. X-Setup Pro) to examine which programs are
loaded during startup and disable it.
The best mechanism is to disable unnecessary programs (such as updater and
so on) to load in the beginning, and in that case, I would use utility
program such as X-Setup Pro to do the job.
Go to http://www.x-setup.net/
Good luck and hope this will help.
