Hi,
On many Laptops, they usually have a F-key with LCD/CRT
labled with it, so you can switch between the Laptop
display to an external display. Try that. You usually
have to use a function key as well. Also if you go to
display properties then settings then advance. You should
see the Monitor tab and has monitor type, you might be
able to change it from there. Also depending on the built
in video card, some of them offer a display choice.
