hi, by the sounds of it, you did not install using the administrator account.
I have installed a few times from accounts with admin privliges but it is
recommended to use the actual administrator account. & when the recovery
console asks for admin pwd, it is after the administrator account pwd (or the
special recovery admin pwd, depends on installation)
as to the disk drive, if you cannot login using another account with admin
privliges (administrator would be best), then trying network access, or
booting with a boot disk/cd might work. failing that you might have to remove
the hard drive & attach it to another computer (ugh)
