Hi,

If I could re-create this behavior, I would be more than glad to
troubleshoot it for you, but I can't. I have never seen this behavior on
any of my six systems here.

I can only suggest trying to change the order of your startup folder items
(literally number them) and check your runkeys (Local_Machine and
Current_User).

When you mention using a restore point corrects the behavior, what is being
overlooked? Better said, what was installed between the two points?
