thanks. i may well be guilty of blaming SP2 just because the inconsistent
order of the taskbar icons became more pronounced and noticeable after i
downloaded SP2. of course i know that even though mcafee hasn't turned up any
virus, worms, etc... it doesn't mean i haven't fallen victim to something of
that nature. thanks for checking in. does your taskbar assume different
configuration/position of icons every time you reboot?
