The test the telephone company does is called "the tone test", this checks
connections are good and that it a "clean line", I had my checked years ago
from the phone jack to the switch station, The technician learned his trade
in the US ARMY communications division, ask for one that has this credential,
I'm sure he can get to the bottom of any DSL problems, if they continue to
bill you and you have no service, contact The Telephone Company- customer
service and tell them about this and ask for assistance, you deserve it,
