Thanks I didn't know there was a NG for windows update when there are so
many others for XP. Anyway I followed a link on a post I read. It sorted out
windows update for me,on reboot it automatically detected SP2 was available
.I took the plunge & 15 mins later it was installed & here I am now using
SP2!!!
