You know, I'm am annoyed about this issue. I bought my new PC in January of
this year and it came installed with Norton 2003 (90 day trial). I was
pleased with the product, so in April I signed up for a year's subscription.
Subsequently, they come out with ver 2004 (I know, progress). But now they
say they aren't going to support versions previous to 2004 for SP2? What's
wrong with this picture?
Yes, I know I can continue to use my system as before. But the point is:
why should I have to! I paid money for a subscription and that means I'm an
active customer. They need to fix this! The program isn't a year old!
I'm very disappointed with Symantec. They deserve to treat their customers
better. The only way to get their attention is to hit them on their bottom
line. Next time I purchase a product, it won't be Symantec: their
reputation for support precedes them.
