In Regedit, highlight HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. Go to File, Load Hive and point it to the the Windows\System32\Config folder on the drive you added. Select the appropriate Hive (System, Software, etc.). You'll be prompted to give the hive you loaded a name. I use LoadedHive. It will show up under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. Once you're done editing, ensure you highlight the LoadedHive and then go to File, Unload Hive.
