Sharing files on 2 remote computers

Hi,
I was wondering what is the simplest way to run a small .exe file (a
utility) that is on my C drive (local) on a folder that is on one of my
friends' own C (local) Drive at a remote location.
I was told I could do that by "sharing" his folder while we are connected
but being a complete newbie to actually doing this, I have no idea of how to
proceed.
Anyone can help me with easy to follow simple instructions on how to do the
above?
