Turning on System Restore at this point will not help since all
Restore Points are deleted when SR is turned off.
Is the virus gone?
Check for damaged/missing system files"
Start/Run
Type "sfc /scannow" ENTER
Follow prompts and have Windows XP CD available.
Once everything is OK, follow this to help prevent this in the future:
