Uninstall the program using windows program remover.
reboot, delete any folders and files of that program.
Reboot and run disk clean-up and then try defrag. If that
doesn't work, try "error-checking" in tools. Always
reboot after each major task butrestart properly.
Try different set-ups of the tools.
