I'm not fond of simply disabling the service... although while poking around
in there it was nice to see that many of the services I used to disable
manually were already disabled. Although I still had the wireless networking
active (I disabled) pointless as I'm hardwired to the network.

As an alternative I'm not shutting my PC down via "Hibernate" rather than a
full shutdown. Which has eliminated the annoying firewall reset. While it
does take gobs of HD space (roughly equivalent to amount of RAM, in my case
just of a gig) it doesn't bother me much as I've recently slapped dual 180gb
drives into it.

Still its a work around rather than a true solution. Hopefully MS will fix
these small annoyances sooner than later.
