Yes, the prescott issue is out there, but all it requires is a microcode
update (BIOS) from the vendor, not a patch. See this from MVP Chris Quirke:

As to Longhorn's actual release, well we all know how MS frequently differs
in predicted and actual release timetables <g>. I suspect that this will be
no different.
