Windows XP was realeased in Oct 2001. It's the same thing now, but service
packs(updates) are available for it. So once you install it, make sure you
apply service pack 2 from windows updates.
BTW - What virus problems? The only people who get viruses are ones who
aren't protecting their computer correctly. You should always use a firewall
and anti-virus program and keep them updated.
