If you're sure that the software you have won't run, then of course you're
right not to upgrade.
I upgraded from ME to XP HE on an old Pentium 3 system and everything EXCEPT
Task Scheduler has worked perfectly - better, in some cases - but I don't
run any old DOS programs, for example.
