NTP time setting not working after SP2

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

I am syncing my workgroup mode notebook using NTP with
the ptbtime1.ptb.de time provider. This worked well with
XP SP1. W32time did an automatic sync after the
configured time or I could do it manually via
the "Internet Time" tab on the "Date and Time Properties".

Since I applied SP2 this is no longer working. On the tab
I get an error message: "An error occured getting the
status of the last synchronization. Element not found."
The w32time does not write any event log entries (but the
service is running).
BTW I get the same error message w/ time.windows.com.

Any idea is appreciated

Jürgen
