Removing a Duplicate Install of XP Home

I was having trouble with XP Home on one of my
machines...it would freeze up 1 or twice per day. I
decided to re-install XP over the existing system files,
but inadvertently installed a new, second copy. The
second copy doesn't have any of my pgms, I assume because
its registry is clean. So it is useless to me.

How do I remove the new installation in its entirety?
