| Question about Windows XP SP2 and Microsoft Java.
|
| Service Pack 1 had Java build 3805 in it, which had some fairly
| signficant security holes in it. These were fixed by build 3810,
| released as a security patch.
|
| If SP2 is applied to a WinXP system that has only the SP1 Java (e.g.
| build 3805), will SP2:
|
| -remove the Microsoft Java entirely?
| -leave the Microsoft Java untouched (still 3805)?
| -upgrade the Microsoft Java to build 3810 (or later)?
|
I installed XPSP2 on two computers here with Java Version: 1.1.4 from
Microsoft Corp. Java was not affected.
