Activation problems

I just missed activating xp before the 30 days are up. I
log on and immediately get a window asking if I want to
activate windows xp. When I say yea it takes me to several
screens for advare killers and notices that my computer is
infected and do I want to run a scan. if I close those
screens it takes me back to the log on screen. There is no
activation prompt that I can find. All i want to do is
activate windows xp but I can not get to the right window
or the desk top to do it.
