XP new installation from Me

My old HD just crashed and needed to be replaced. I would like to upgrade
from Me to XP. I would prefer to do a new installation but I do not know of
my old programs (AOL, MS Works, DVD player etc.) that came preinstalled when
I bought the computer will be wiped out as I have no way of re-installing
original software. Does anyone know?
