Your hardware is marginal for XP. I normally recoomend that most
people have at least 256MB of RAM. You don't say how fast the P2
is, but iI wouldn't install XP unless you have at least something
around 400MHz. A 12 GB drive is also on the low side, but
depending on how much you put on it, you may find it adequate.

You mean keeping the drive structure the way it is? Yes, but I
wouldn't do that. You're likely to run into problems in not very
long with only 2GB for Windows.

When you install XP, you'll be given the option to delete the
existing drives and recreate them. I would do so, and create a
single NTFS drive, instead of your current two FAT32 drives.

I would probably buy a new computer. Depending on the rest of the
specs, what you have is probably not going to give you very good
performance.

No. No version of Windows can do that. If you are looking to
change the partition structure of the drive non-destructively, it
requires a third-party program such as Partition Magic.
