Just got a new computer with WinXP. Need to migrate stuff from old
(Win98) to new. I think I have two problems. I) The XP doesn't have a
floppy drive, but does have a DVD/CD read/write drive. The Win 98 does
have a floppy and a CD read. Given these parameters, as I can't make a
floppy disk in the new computer, is there a way to make the transfer
media, or do I have to buy a cheap external floppy drive (USB type) for
the XP? 2) I don't have a Direct serial cable for the connections. Is
this a special cable or could you recommend where on my exisiting set up
I could "highjack" a cable to use? If I ahve to buy the cable, what
should I specifcally ask for...any idea what they should cost (Circuit
City/Best Buy...)? Thanks for your help.
