Well, first of all, I'd like to thank you for the insight
and wisdom that you shared with me here. I don't get why
you took the time out of your day to create that
message. I may be a moron, but you are a hateful person
with too much free time, most likely due to lack of
having a life of any substance. Now, with that said, I'd
like to defend myself a little. There were absolutely NO
warnings of any sort that told me to close any programs
at all. In fact, the download/install was said to take
appx. 50 min., so I assumed I had time to work with while
the download occured. Next, there weren't any sort of
errors during this process, and when it was done it ASKED
me if I'd like to reboot or contine workin anf reboot
when I was ready. Thus, I chos to finish my work (and
you were most certainly right... I was whacking off and
looking at porn). Before I got done, the computer
froze. Now, I've heard of XP having problems like this
when you do a hard restart ANY time... not just during a
update. In fact, it is known to be more problematic in
this way than any other version of the OS. Lastly, I
never once complained about the SP update. I admitted
what I did in full, and asked if there was a known issue
or a way to fix what I did. I know I wasn't the smartest
in my choice of actions here, but it can't be a unique
situation, and I disclosed all that happened so I can get
the most detailed insight possible as to fixing the
problem without losing all of my data. If anyone ELSE
out there would like to offer any suggestions, I will
gladly heed them and be very thankful. If YOU would like
to ridicule me some more... please do it to yourself as
to not clog up this message board with even more wasteful
posts than yours and this one.
