Yes, this is the big disadvantage of enabling automatic updates. When
the update is installed, you really need to reboot NOW. No matter what
you are doing. Hopefully, SR2 changes will make it less necessary to
reboot NOW, but I think that having to do that is a PITA, and Microsoft
should find a way to avoid it for almost all updates.
Linux is able to do it, why not Windows?
