I never suggested that you "Blindly" apply an update. I don't even do
that on my own machine without a verified image. What I'm trying to
convey is that there has been a 6-month period where SP2 has been
beta tested. I've never known a case where any type of Enterprise
cannot obtain the code to test or supply feedback and suggestions. If
a company is just now obtaining SP2 for evaluation, then by all means
wait until you get that "Warm/Fuzzy" feeling.
Sometimes it just exemplifies the way Corporate America drags it's
feet, no planning or foresight. No amount of Conference room donuts
& discussions will help implement Service Packs. You need technical
people evaluating it and ensuring your operations won't be impacted
by it. The No Guts, No Glory comment wasn't directed at any IT
person, in any organization. It was directed at the Front Office staff
that can plan a golf outing, but can't understand how a Palm Pilot
hooks up.
