Use the US country code before the phone number, as in "1-425-635-3311"
(unless, of course, you live in the Seattle Metropolitan area, in which case
"425-635-3311" is probably a local, non-toll call). This will be a toll
call from Texas, but you will probably get an American English speaker.
However, with so many I.T. companies outsourcing their Customer Services to
India (Microsoft included), you may also get "Justin" Akapaka or "Susan"
Palevehi from the Microsoft Call Center in Bangladore, India.
However, I don't understand why the Activation Wizard didn't display a local
number (or non-toll number) to call.
