Mozilla is the successor to Netscape, reborn. And there is a next
variant - Firefox - in the late stages of development that is getting
a lot of attention, and approval. see ww.mozilla.org
I have Netscape but don't use it. Have Opera as main browser, but find
I sometimes have to fall back on IE where there are 'active X' things in
use - as some of the microsoft pages. I think the thing to do is get
trial downloads and see how you like them. When installing do *not*
have them make themselves the default browser (wait for that until you
have made your pick) and be sure to have a Restore point prior to the
install, so that if you uninstall you could then go back there to ensure
you remove all traces
