A gentle comment. Windows and Internet Explorer [along with Outlook Express]
are the most attacked programs simply because they are, by far, the most
commonly used programs to access the Internet. The individual writing the
virus wants to hit a bunch of users, not just a few. Same thing of Spammers.
Build up Opera or Mozilla any other browsers user numbers and the virus
writers are going to increasingly climb on board. So will the Spam folks.
Mozilla and Firefox are both open source [don't know about Opera], so ain't
much to keep them out once you increase the number of users. In other words,
get real. Most Windows users get into trouble because they do not keep
updated Anti-Virus and Firewall programs running. Read all the advice you
want. The only way to be super safe is to stay off the Internet.
