Windows lock up?

How do I stop windows from locking up and going into login screen. It's irritating because when I watch DVD I have to move a mouse every once in a while to prevent computer from locking up. When it locks up during DVD movie it stops the movie completely after I enter the password to unlock the computer. I looked in windows help, I looked everywhere in the settings to remove that thing off I couldn't find anything, please help!
