Doug, you actually didn't ask a question in the first place, so nobody had
anything to answer. But, since you've asked a question now, let's see what
we can do.

What kind of videos are you downloading - AVI, WMV, MPEG? Does the behavior
change depending on the video format? Does the behavior change depending on
the site you're downloading from? Which media player are you using -
Windows Media Player (8 or 9?) or a third-party application?

It's both! and since noone cares to answer my question in the appropriate 
group, in which it is posted, here go's:
Can anyone please help?  When downloading video stream, it downloads about
half way through and then starts to play but doesn't play though the
entirety, it stops and doesn't continue to download the video.
Seems that expressing one's understanding and opinions doesn't rank high 
here with those of you that are trying to make MVP.
