LINK PROBLEM

I get a lot of e-mail that contains links that I must
click on in order to access the base of information. I
just clicked on the link and got there. Suddenly, when I
click I just see the hand icon and nothing happens. I try
double clicking and even holding down the Ctrol Key while
clicking and...nothing. This just started a few days ago.
I ran all my utilities to clean up any problems but no
change. I have PLENTY of Memory and Disk Space. Can anone
give me a clue as to what do do? I'm using XP Home
Edition.
