I'm trying to set up advanced permissions for a shared folder. I've turnoed off the simple file sharing and I'm trying to setup a shared folder so that some computers will have access to some of my folders and some networked computers won't. I was also trying to set it up so that some people can read the contents of a folder but not alter the contents (AKA Delete) and other networked computers able to alter the contents of the shared folder (kinda like a server without a server). When I go to security and try to add a different location, I can only see my computer and different users on that computer. I was wondering if I have to change the other computers to windows xp, and NTFS to view them as other locations. Anyone have any other ideas?
