But you *are* running *special* software specific to the mobile phone,
and intersetingly, you get a tiny mobile phone icon as being the symptom
of the problem. I'm also not sure that Bluetooth is something provided
by native XP ... maybe it is.

Did you try un-intalling this 3rd party softare -- completely -- to see
if the problem disappears.

Perhaps they write their software to the same quality standards as they
provide support?
