There are replies to you questions on the office newsgroup where you
previously posted.

Also, in addition to trying Paste Special, as I suggested to you in this
other forum, read the Help file or other documentation for your mobile
phone software. It is surely this which is controlling this "feature".
  Or look on the vendor's web site for support questions (probably won't
be of great use, but thought I would suggest anyway).

I don't think this really has anything to do with Office or XP and is
fully controlled by the 3rd party software you have installed. You can
test this hypothesis by uninstalling this software and then see if the
problem continues.
