The new hard drive you get will, if it is a retail box, come with a
utility to copy your old drive to your new one. If you buy whitebox,
you can download the utility from the drive mftr.'s website. The
procedure is to attach the new hard drive as slave (you would have to
disconnect your D: drive temporarily), boot with the utility and follow
the wizard. Then you'll put the new drive in the old master's place,
after jumpering it correctly, and reattach your D: drive. Or you can
image the C: drive with something like Ghost, BING, or Drive Image.
