Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

I have the same problem. It kept rebooting with a profile permissions
issue. If you hit OK or let the count down timer expire, it just
reboots. I had to start in safe mode, create a new Admin account then
updated my normal accout to hopefully write the correct permissions.
This seemed to work but no Quick Launch and when you select it under
properties, the check disapears when you reopen and if you right click
on the tack bar and go to toolbars, and select Quick Launch, it states
"Cannot Create Toolbar". Also, all the Toolbar fix stuff doesn't work
as they only look to see if the folder exists and if not, it creates
one. Well the folder does exist with all the shortcuts in it. Need
help too. I to have Norton 2004 with the latest update, ran SpyBot and
AdWare 6.0. found nothing. I feel there is still something lurking in
my PC and I agree, this is alarming! Thanks, Rob
