I cannot acces my msn messenger or explorer from my computer. I get a message saying my account does not exhist or that I am not hooked up to the internet. I can access my MSN from work. Any Idea what may be wrong?

I also got an error message that said that some of my windows files have been replaced by unreadable versions and it asks for the backup disc 1. But when I try to use it , it will not take the serial number. It says it is invalid.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
