Thanks. Unfortunately, I can't get into any profile, Safe-Mode or
otherwise, Administrator included. Does anyone know if there is a way
of bypassing XP running setup files as it loads? I thought holding the
left-shift key used to do it with earlier versions of Windows but that
doesn't seem to work on XP. Also, is there a way to add a new profile
without being in XP. Maybe from the install disk or something. I was
hoping to avoid repairing or reloading XP until I exhaust every other
option. Thanks again.
And a warning to others - this occurred after running Ad Aware to
remove some spyware. Be very careful when running this with it's
latest update file. Based on some other posts I've seen I'm not the
only one who's run in to this.
