I was using Version 5.0.590.015 and had the same error message when trying
to check for errors. I installed the latest version (5.0.590.043) and it
still causes problems with scandisk. I still get the error "Cannot open
volume for direct access." I'm using the Windows XP built in firewall for
now. Maybe I'll go back to the 4.5 version or wait until SP2 comes out.
Aloha,
