Thanks for the clarification. If the url I gave you doesn't work with
the DirectX 9 update, maybe you don't have DirectX 9. Here are some

Windows Update

Do other executables work? Have you done the normal Windows
troubleshooting; i.e., scanned with a current (post-2002 version)
antivirus using updated definitions? Removed any spyware? Emptied your
Temporary and Temporary Internet Files folders with Disk Cleanup? If
other executables work and you know your machine is clean, then I'm
afraid you'll need to contact the third-party software maker's tech
support for help with their product.

If you need more help, please repost. Be sure to include information
about your computer, the name of the third-party software, and what
you've already done to troubleshoot.
