search results view - not able to customize?

In any folder you open change the view settings manually.

But to establish default viewing go to the control panel,
go to Folder Options, go to View, in that list check the
box that says, Remember each folders view settings, hit
apply say ok.

Each time you customize a window, let's say for view as
list it should always open that way.
