Problem with Install printer wizard

Hi to all and thanks for any replays.

I'm running XP pro and be unfortunat to have a Canon BJC 5100.
No driver for XP available.
I installed it with the W2000 driver (not digitaly signed) and the
printer is working ok (most of the time).

The problem is that at every bootup the Wizard and warning messages
poping up and wants my to go through the install procedure again and
again.

Is there a way to tell Windows that the printer is already installed?
