I decending order of expen$e, you can use a router, a switch, a hub, or
a CAT5 crossover cable. If you don't need a router for any other reason
I'd recommend using a fast ethernet switch as it will support 100Mb/s
full duplex. A hub will only support 10Mb/s half duplex. A crossover
cable will support 100Mb/s but I'm not certain of the duplex
capabilities of that.
