How to put something in the ClassPath ??

I'm running XP-Pro:
I'm trying to install Java Comm Package and it is telling me to put
something in the ClassPath ???
I know how to add something to the Path via...
Control Panel | System | Advanced | Environment Variables
and then adding a ";" followed by the path to whatever...
MY QUESTION: Is ClassPath the same thing or is there a special way and/or
place to set a ClassPath?
