have you taken a look at the running process' before you shut down? do a
google on those you don't recognize and see if one is responsible. (be sure
to type the process correctly when searching)

another suggestion is that you shut down in a different fashion. ie; start
menu, task manager, and/or any another way there is. not long ago my
system would shutdown when I click restart using the start GUI

(maybe if un-installation of software doesn't solve it, you could leave you
system running) its no solution but beats waiting.
