Are you trying to install the English version over the top of the
Portuguese one? If so, that probably will not work. You should be
installing the English version to a separate partition, and
(important) you probably should be using a boot manager to "hide" the
Portuguese partition while installing the English copy.
If you're installing the English copy as a replacement for the
Portuguese version, then you should format the hard drive first to
remove the Portuguese version.
